No, Japan...just no.



Hello, huge blatant mistake in my Japanese Conversation Textbook!!

EDIT: This is not a mistake in my Japanese Conversation Textbook. It is just a little confusing to understand, that's all.

  1. it might depend on what kind of accent/dialect you're speaking, but i'm from california and i pronounce those words as the book describes.

  2. AWWWWWWWW, I finally understand it! I was unclear about the term "unvoiced." My voice does not come out until the "ird" part of "third." I get it.

  3. There was a girl at camp from Israel. I will never forget her excitement for "smooties" on a field trip to Algonquin Beach. Everyone looked at her weird, no idea what smooties were. She was talking about smoothies, but Hebrew does not include any words with TH.
